Verbals and Discriminations

Also available with Virtual Learning options.

Verbal cues are an often underrated skill in agility, and one that many handlers wish they had. Verbals can help overcome a disparity in speed between the handler and dog, and help bring out a faster, smarter performance from our dogs. This course will cover obstacle discrimination (tunnel pulls, contact/tunnel, weave/tunnel, etc.), backsides, threadles, directionals, tighter turns, and more! Homework requirements include access to 3-4 jumps and a tunnel- or split a ring rental with your classmates! Dogs must be sequencing jumps and tunnels.

Obstacle Independence and Distance Skills

Also available with Virtual Learning options.

Having trouble Qing in FAST/Gamblers, or sick of having to stay right beside your dog? In this course, we will work on creating a more independent, confident dog so you can focus on your job and less on the dog’s job. Topics include contact and weave proofing, jump commitment, and driving ahead or away from the handler. Homework will be modified based on what equipment/space the team has access to. Dogs must be proficient on all obstacles.
